David Krakauer is well-known and established clarinetist, composer, Grammy and Juno nominated soloist, band leader, praised internationally as a key innovator in modern klezmer. His interesting spheres as a musician touches many different genre’s elements and variants, and his experience is huge, as same as his knowledge.
He likes to face with many different experimental challenges, and in final, as a result he is mostly the winner.
“Mazel Tov Cocktail Party!” is his actual release, recorded with several established worldwide/international musicians, who helped him in creation of his newer product. “Mazel Tov Cocktail Party!”, with 9 tracks in, is a sort of modern release, where various music genres are crossing with brilliant musicianship, colorful arrangements, often up-tempo changes, constant rhythmic turnarounds, added with virtuosity of each musicians from band.
I would also mention an important role of Sarah MK, she was MC, did the vocal duties and rap vocalization. So, David and his band members have offered some sort of mixing combination of modern world music, modern klezmer influenced folk elements, jazz, Balkan folk, and many things in-between. “Mazel Tov Cocktail Party!” is an album full of joyful reflections, positive vibrations and modern sound.
