( Noise Appeal Records/Bite It Promotion ) 2024.
CD/LP/cassette/digital
Various genres / crossover – SWITZERLAND
Hathors is a Swiss band, active since 2011, with a suitable reputation, although somewhat less well-known and noticed in our Balkan regions. They have been working as a trio since 2011, and together with the current one, they have released a total of 5 albums and held concerts in Europe and the USA.
Hailing from Winterthur, the trio – Marc Bouffe – guitar/vocals; Sarah Zaugg – Bass; and Dominique Destraz – drums, blends a several rock genres, through which noise elements, grunge traces, garage steps are promoted, with the addition of a considerable amount of specific noise, seasoned with a “screamo” vocalization. Influences from the 90’s should not be excluded either, although the group treats them in a modern way. Hathors “face” everyday reality in their own way, distributing their views in a raw and unpolished way. Due to the mentioned approach, at times they know how to remind the way the members of Nirvana did it, but the Swiss still chose their own approach, which can be considered authentic.
Hathors offered fresh and “live” songs, honest and untwisted energy, and music that I believe is equally interesting when performed “live” on the concert stage, as well as in this studio version.
