Charneux/Leleux/Puma trio is a non-classical band that searches for different sounds and expressive solutions in the music behind it. Composer and clarinetist Aurelie Charneux fronts the group, and she with the current ones published a total of 6 albums through several projects.
Together with her collaborators, she is prone to constant expressive experimentation, as well as creative action that penetrates to more different forms. So, we can find concretely in the music of this trio, one fluent combination of several world music elements, such as oriental traces, Mediterranean variants, Klezmer music, and Balkan influences and we can find also other interesting specific artistic models. The clarinet is a leading instrument, and through 9 instrumental themes we can hear many improvisations, and maybe is better to say many improvisational parts, which represents the specificity and one of the characteristics of the arranged music.
Charneux/Leleux/Puma have created a kind of style within the world music space, and this is visible through the entire prepared album material. „Cinquieme Saison“, all the time brings a lot of inspiring moments, which is an important asset of this edition.
