Guitarist and author Alex Lopez has been around for years, and “Slowdown” is his third album released during May, this 2017 year.

He has recorded material with his Alex Lopez Xpress band, and conceptually this is a story that comes full circle about a person who travels down a path that leads to addiction and their struggle to find a way back home. 12 plus 2 bonus tracks are done in blues/blues rock mood, with groovy including and strong and precise back up playing.

Some 70’s bluesy pastiche can be heard here and there with evident (positive) retro approach as well. He has offered also pretty listenable material, well produced and recorded.
