Faraways are another Swedish band with a rather unusual history behind them, if we talk about their career. They started as a duo of two school friends during the mid 90’s, and with the arrival of other members, they recorded a demo in 1996. They later reformed the line-up, acting as a quintet, and released one EP in 1999, another in 2002. This was followed by a probably unplanned hiatus, which lasted 18 years.

And now it can be said, that they are at a new beginning, and recently they recorded an EP with 5 tracks in. Judging by author/performer tendencies, the spheres of interest of the band members are wide. So, in their approach, you can find elements derived from the more moderate progressive tendencies of the 60’s and 70’s. And they come from, I would add, some “second plan”. There are also influences of British 60’s and 70’s rock, which are arranged in such a way as to be associated with the approach of more renowned bands from the mentioned era. In a complete “game” like this, the Faraways found their own style, which as I mentioned, represents their way of tracing author’s ideas.
