(Zoharum) 2024.
CD/LP/digital
Electronic/industrial/dark ambient – POLAND
One of the latest releases od “Zoharum” label is album of Larmo, called “Alarm”. This is the project of Mirosław Matyasik, known name in the underground scene for more than 20 years. “Alarm” is the album with 12 tracks in, done also as a LP, CD and in digital form.
The premiere of mentioned release was May 14. 2024. and we can find here and there 12 heavy electronic/industrial tracks surrounded by various and equally different genre forms of industrial variations. The sound and themes that Matyasik deals with, span several decades of electronic music, where different loops and rhythms are constantly being exchanged. A lot of so-called aggressive and “hysterical” moments are present through the expressive approach of themes that flow through the prepared material, where there is practically no “empty space”, at any moment, which would make the potential listener wonder which way the further flow of the main actor’s conceptual creations will move. And such an approach, represents the main component of the prepared material.
“Alarm” represents a challenging confrontation with the “borderline” areas of industrial variations, which the author treats in an autochthonous and for analysts, as well as listeners, no less authoritarian way.
