Mr. Greg Copeland is a veteran of American music history, today a 78 year-old person, whose career, although it had exceptional recognition and acceptance, did not have a harmonious continuity and a richer discography.
He released his first album “Revenge Will Come” back in 1982, and on the list of the “Time Magazine”, it was declared one of the 10 best releases in mentioned year. It is interesting that his song “El Salvador” was covered in her own way by Joan Baez in 1989, and the title track “Revenge Will Come”, by David Lindley. His second album “Diana And James” was released in 2008, followed by the “The Tango Bar” in 2020.
“Empire State” actual release, is an EP with 5 tracks in, produced by Tyler Chester. Mr. Copeland offers us honest and open emotions, where his characteristic lyrical approach is accompanied by songs of medium and moderate mid-tempo. “Wide” arrangements and very intuitive and sensitive vocalization are also visible features of the prepared material.
“Empire State” is a short and concise work with a wealth of harmonies and original solutions, which reveal the rich experience of the main actor.
