Kyab Yul-Sa is a trio formed in 2015, led by key person Lobsong Chonzor, a singer/composer and Tibetan dranyen lute and tympanon gyumang player. Together with his collaborators, Lobsang examines and explores the tradition of Tibetan music, whether of sacred or religious origin/approach. The current album “Murmures d’Himalaya” will be released on April 26, 2024, and presented live on May 23, 2024 at “Studio de L’Ermitrage” in Paris.
There are 11 tracks on the album, which represent a kind of journey into different spheres, I would say to the territory of the spiritual and real world. through which the listener has the opportunity to get acquainted with music , that is very little know him. But the music presented in this way is, on the other hand, rich in colorful images, emotions and fluid sounds. There is no doubt that the songs of this team have a specific calmness, also a narrative dimension and dynamic that is very special, it comes from another plane, but it gives the songs a more fulfilling form. A wealth of emotions and different “films” oriented towards the tradition of Tibetan heritage, in a very natural, but also educated way, Lobsang Chonzor traces to the listener. And, he does it in a wise and musically experienced way.
