Post new wave/dark wave/cold wave – GERMANY
Inadream are German quartet whose career started out in 2016 year. They have released first album in 2019. titled “No Songs For Lover”, and actual one “Strange Dream” will see the light of day worldwide on October 18, 2024.
The material from album is present to large extent among people from the media, and recently I received a CD from “Bob-Media”, that was made in digi format.
There’s no doubt that Inadream are interesting act, with fairly good education in genre areas that interest them, and that they stand behind.We have here 10 songs done in a manner that will remind you of the late 70’s and the first half of the 80’s, whose reliance on several variations of the British wave and influences from the mentioned period are clearly evident and present in the performing and authoring solutions presented here. So, we can here sounds from the post punk time, new wave period, as same many details taken from dark wave/cold wave era. Inadream in their own way returning the story to the mentioned past times, expressing what is close to their hearts in the musical sense, but finding ways to give the songs as much as possible their original and authentic stamps.
In my opinion, a little more originality would not be missing, but within this expressive, stylistic and performing approach, the German band managed to bring some interesting ideas to the surface.
