Stockholm based Born 53 is releasing ”A Talent Unrecognized”, May 19th, 2017, the band’s 5th album since 2005.

After 2012’s ”Theving In The Alley”, entirely devoted to interpretations of Bob Dylan songs, the focus is back on band members Anders Lindh and Hans Birkholz originals, 7 and 3 respectively. The collection is also graced by one Dylan song, ‘Forgetful Heart’ and one from Paddy MacAloon, ‘Devil Came A-Callin’.

JAN DALEY is a true triple-threat with credentials as a singer, actress, and songwriter!

Best known for her tribute to Bob Hope in a show & CD she conceived entitled “WHERE THERE’S HOPE.” Daley developed her tribute to the beloved funny man after she was asked by the Hope family to sing “Thanks For The Memory” at Hope’s funeral service. Always thought of mainly as one of the most important comedians in history, Hope was a charming song and dance man who debuted many of the Great American Songbook’s most beloved tunes, including I Can’t Get Started, It’s De-Lovely, I Won’t Dance, & Two Sleepy People, included in Miss Daley’s stage show and CD of the same name.
In 2017, Jan will be debuting a new live show, “Broadway Lights Up The Silver Screen” – An Evening Of Broadway Songs You Love – From Films We Cherish” She has chosen songs from our favorite Broadway musicals like: Sound of Music, Chicago, Mame, My Fair Lady, Lion King, Aladdin, King & I and so many more. Born in New York City and raised across the river in Fort Lee, New Jersey, Kenny White began his career in the 1970’s, touring exclusively as the keyboard player for Jonathan Edwards and Livingston Taylor. He then became a fixture in the New York City studio scene throughout the 1980’s and 1990’s, producing and arranging literally hundreds of commercials for TV and radio. Commercial work enabled White to direct artists as renowned and varied as Gladys Knight, Linda Ronstadt, Mavis Staples, Ricky Skaggs, and Aaron Neville White worked on many film soundtracks as a contributing writer and musician including “Message In A Bottle”, Kenny also appears on dozens of recordings of other musicians, including Marc Cohn’s platinum debut album.

Doug Schmude, pronounced as to rhyme with moody, is an americana singer songwriter who combines rock, folk and country with a common thread of storytelling and vividly drawn characters. His latest record, ”Ghosts Of The Main Drag”, is a collection of 10 original tracks. This album features a mixture of driving electric guitar tracks and folk and country inspired tunes with pieces of blues and grunge mixed in that should fit well within a playlist of artists such as Son Volt, Reckless Kelly and Tom Petty. The album, released independently on his own label Lost Hubcap Records, was self produced. Doug plays the majority of the acoustic and electric guitars, mandolin, lap steel guitar and dobro. The album additionally features appearances by Kyle Nix (Turnpike Troubadours) on fiddle, Jessy Greene (The Jayhawks) on fiddle, Joe Fick (The Don Kelley Band) on upright bass and Bobbo Byrnes (The Fallen Stars) on organ and bass.

New York based singer songwriter Susan Kane releases her 4th CD in April 2017. ”Mostly Fine” represents something of a departure from her previous efforts. Recorded over a couple of months with local musicians at Fred Gillen Jr’s Woody House studio, it is a largely acoustic record with nary an electric guitar within earshot. This album is filled with dobro, fiddle, mandolin, accordion, and lap steel, with a sprinkling of banjo layered over acoustic guitars. Nevertheless, listeners will find themselves in familiar lyrical territory, with songs that amuse or evoke deeper emotions. But they will notice that even the humorous tracks reveal subtle insights into human foibles. The album features 7 original songs, including a co-write and an adaptation of a poem, and 3 covers. The title originates from a lyric in one song and is not meant to be negative, says Susan. She believes if well into adulthood you can honestly say that everything is ’mostly fine’, that is really fine. Produced by Jeff Eyrich (Dave’s True Story) and mastered by Scott Hull. Guest artists include Abbie Gardner (Red Molly), The Levins, Lisa Gutkin (Klezmatics) and David Bernz.
