Behind the name Love On Drugs we find Thomas Pontén. He describes himself as an in Gothenburg residing singer songwriter and guitarist who for the past few years tries to combine the easiness of pop with the often more harsh and brooding storytelling of countrymusic, ”…with hope that others think I do it well”, he adds modestly.

The Coal Porters started playing acoustic music around 2002 in London when ex-Long Ryder Sid Griffin decided to turn away from electric music. Since then, the band’s unique combination of folk, indie, bluegrass and celtic music has paved the way for a number of new acts in this new genre. In fact, the Coal Porters claim to be the world’s first ‘alt-bluegrass’ act, given as they take old themes and melodies and soup them up for the 21st century and an expanded listening audience.

Guitarist-singer-songwriter Nicolette Aubourg was born to British/South African parents in Durban, South Africa where she studied music, performed at many venues and received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and English Literature before moving to Los Angeles. She has independently released three albums of original songs: “Wild Horse Running Free” (2016) produced by Jorgen Carlsson (Gov’t Mule) and Nicolette Aubourg, “Songs from Willow Glen” and “Grand View Drive”, as well as releasing two singles, “The Invitation” (lyrics by Oriah Mountain Dreamer) and “Madiba, dedication to Nelson Mandela”.
