Alter rock/punk/hardcore/noise/crossover – SLOVENIA
Sastav iz Celja, Phonebox Vandals jedan je od onih slovenačkih i Ex-Yu aktova, čiji tok karijere nažalost nije imao kontinuiranu i povezujuću priču. Objavii su više nego zanimljiv album „Damned Die Hard“, (Blind Dog Records, 1990.) na vinily,pojavjivali su se na nekoliko prestižnih underground kompilacija, tadašnjih nacionalnih festivala, imali zapažene koncertne nastupe, i na određeni način pomerali granice ovdašnjeg shvatanja manje formalnog alter rocka, punka, hardcore-a. I njih su ratna dešavanja i raspad zemlje udaljili od građenja normalnijeg i prirodnijeg toka karijere, i postepeno se priča morala okončati, iako je bend i njegovi članovi pod drugim imenom, kao i u odvojenim slučajevima, nastavljao biti prisutan (istina sporadično) na slovenačkoj underground sceni.
